Only You
Everything else fades at His presence.
There is a difference between not finding something you were searching for and not even bothering to search because you understand the futility of that journey.
That is what it feels like to search for anything or anyone who can be like Yahweh. There is no need searching because we will never find anyone like Him.
We are talking about YHWH. The ultimate Creator. The one who set the heavens and the earth in place. The one who exists in a class of His own. The one who sustains all things and yet is self sufficient.
Adonai, the owner of all created beings.
And that is why there is no other God like Him. All other gods are not just the works of men. They are the foolishness of men. No other God can stand side by side with the Almighty.
If you doubt me, ask Dagon, the god of the Philistines. It was placed in the same room as the God of the Universe and when they returned, it had fallen face flat before the presence of The Lord.
Created gods have eyes but cannot see. They have ears but cannot hear. They have legs but cannot walk. Because they are nothing but breathless sculptures.
My God is the One who creates eyes, ears and legs. He is the One who gives the ability to see, hear and walk. This is the One, True God.
Adonai, Only You stands alone. Everything else fades away at your arrival. There is no one else like you. In heaven or on earth, there is absolutely nothing and no one that comes close.
There is no need searching,
because comparison requires equality.
And there is none equal to You.
There is none holy as the Lord.
There is none beside Thee.
Neither is there any Rock like our God.
There is none holy as the Lord.
My God is in His own class. He stands all alone, above everything. The uncreated Creator and the self-sufficient sustainer. There is no one else like You. And there can never be anyone like You.
And so I do not search.
Because comparison requires equality.
And there is none equal to You.
You are not the best among many.
You are the Only One.
The uncreated Creator.
The self-sufficient Sustainer.
The God who stands alone.
There is no one else like You.
There has never been.
There will never be.
Only You.
